I KNEW this was going to happen....

Well, I am home, but my luggage is not. This is the second time this has happened to me, and it's not fun. No make-up, no curling iron, and no pictures from the weekend. The airline people insist on delivering it to your door, but last time they came at 3 a.m. Very inconvenient. I mean, I just have one lousy suitcase that looks very similar to this -- one of a kind! How hard will that be to locate?!

I will have an official week-long update just as soon as I get my camera back...

And it's only still Spring....

OMG!!!! 106 degrees outside at 4:00 in the afternoon!!!! I think I melted a little bit....I hate this place!

Monday, May 15

Is it........*blink blink*.........Overcast outside??!!! Overcast days in Arizona are about as rare as a snowflurry in Mississippi--it happens like once or twice a year, and when it does, there is enough bewilderment to make you want to close schools and small businesses. Rain, as you can imagine, is even more scarce. It's like a myth or a legend, like the Lochness Monster or the Abominable Snowman--You've heard about it, you've seen pictures of it, you may have even had a friend of a friend that saw it once, but you never actually bear witness to it yourself.

You have no idea how much I miss rainy days. I am so sick of seeing the sun every....single....day. I hope when I go home (in T-Minus 8.5 days) there is a good ole fashioned thunderstorm.

After eight hillarious seasons, That 70's Show is coming to an end....../cry. What a good one. I was definatly one of those who watched the show religiously in the first three seasons, but then kinda caught the rest in bits and pieces through re-runs. Even my paretns watch the show on a regular basis, thats how good it was! Matt and I will probably start That 70's Show marathon weekends now. I'm gonna be sad to see it go....

So tomorrow, I will put on a cap and gown and walk in a graduation ceremony...but this time, as a teacher, not as a student. Still amazes me.....

T-Minus 27 Days....

Let the summer tours of 2006 begin! I got me and Matt tickets to the Bruce Springsteen Seeger Sessions show in phoenix. Tenth row right next to the stage. In case you don't know me at all, I am a huge Springsteen fan, so I am VERY excited about the upcoming concert. Matt, on the otherhand, it not quite as enthusiastic about it, but he will learn to love it if he knows what's good for him.

Now, as my Dad and I have discussed on many occasions, Springsteen, unlike most artists, changes his sounds everytime he puts out a new album. In We Shall Overcome, he takes down home folk music and revitalizes it with a little rock n' roll. After listening to the album, I have a feeling this is going to be a very up-beat, feel-good show. Here is a video snippet, if anyone is interested. And if you are a fan, I'd like to hear what you think. Get excited for the "Bruce Springsteen: Concert Edition" post coming June 3rd or 4th!!

Target

So last night, I went to Target to buy a few essentials: cat litter, laundry detergent, kitchen soap, garbage bags, and most importantly, new underwears. Now, it wasn't until I got home that I realized I was missing a bag. Maybe it is still on the checkout counter, or maybe it is still in the shopping cart in the parking lot, but either way, there is $20 worth of new panties wandering around Target. If it were anything else, I would march up there and demand my goods. But do I really want to risk having to tell some high school boy behind the service counter that I left my underwear at target? No. *Sigh* This would only happen to me...

Birthday Edition...

IT'S MY BIRTHDAY! YAY! Happy Birthday to me! Man--24. Who knew I got so old all of a sudden? Incase you forget this auspicious occasion, don't worry--It's not too late. This year I'm accepting homemade cards only. That's right. Pull out those Crayolas and let's see what you can do!

Shopping

So I made Matt go dress shopping with me this weekend. Now, if you have not had the privilege to experience clothes shopping with me before, you are missing out on a stressful, indecisive, mess of an afternoon. However, I must give Matthew Darling props for being so patient. I must have changed my mind like a million times. Thank goodness he had good games to play on his cell phone to pass the time, otherwise he might have killed me right there outside the Ann Taylor dressing room. (Oh, and here is a sneak peak of my new purchase. Only it has a cute little sweater to go with it.)

So that was our weekend in a nut shell. Shopping. And Matt also bought me a new pair of jeans and a tea maker. The tea maker is a god-send; I have had it like 48 hours and already I've gone through like 4 gallons of tea. True Story. I'll be the first to admit that I'm addicted to sweet tea.
