Graduation...
And even more exciting--I will be back in Mississippi for the fun and festivities with Michael's graduation weekend. I can't wait to be back home. Home misses me, and I miss it.
This weekend it was just us girls (me and Lucy); Matthew Darling was in the field. So I made chocolate covered strawberries to cheer me up. It was GLORIOUS! I seriously dipped an entire carton of strawberries in dark chocolate and ate them with every meal. And here is the real bonus: strawberries are on sale: A dollar a carton. This only means one thing: I must eat more. It's really the most economical decision.
It is wonderful to have friends in high places...Or at least places that will get you free stuff. One of my students is the manager of KFC. I went there for dinner the other night, and when he saw me, he gave me a 3-piece chicken strip meal with mashed potatoes and gravy, coleslaw, an extra biscuit, and a drink for the price of $o.oo. It was exciting and delicious all at the same time. And the thing is, this student is not in my session or any of my classes; he just knows who I am. What a great guy! I wish I had him for a class so I could give him all A's.
Happy Easter! I hope the Easter Bunny was good to y'all. I got an early package in the mail; needless to say, the wealth of chocolate was depleted hours ago. BUT then I noticed that young Matthew left his chocolate bunny on my kitchen counter this morning. How convenient! Fannie May's dark chocolate.....Yummy!
What a ridiculously lazy weekend! Matt came over on Saturday and helped me enhance my W.o.W playing capabilities with new add-ons. They work wonders. Now I can slay murlocks with a swift click of my mouse without my gigantic purple minion taking up the whole screen. Tonight: I get a new pet, a new robe, and level 21.
Poor Lucy. Ever since I started playing W.o.W, I have been neglecting things like the dishes, my blog, sleep, and Lucy. While I am on the computer, she resorts to desparate attempts to get my attention, such as sitting her fuzzy butt on my clean laundry. She also jumps on the desk, walks in front of the monitor, presses the keys of the keyboard with her paws, lays in the printer tray. Poor Lucy is feeling neglected and jealous. I am a horrible mother...
