We're Registered!

Yesterday was exhausting, but Matt and I knocked out the majority of our wedding registry.  We decided on china and crystal and everyday dishes at Belk; and Bed, Bath, and Beyond just had too many gadgets to pass up.  Here is a sneak peak at our china:  Blue Duchess by Vera Wang.  Its white with a delicate blue boarder around the edge AND there is this really cool accent plate that we are going to trade all of the salad plates for.  However, there is not one single picture of it anywhere on the internet.  It has a wide blue rim with a pattern of brown leaves.  Love it!  And for our everyday dishes (a huge decision)  we registered for a combination of plain jane white dinner plates and pasta bowls and combined it with the cereal bowl, coffee mug, and salad plate from the Lennox Chirp pattern.  It matches perfectly.   I loved the little watercolor flowers and accents on the chirp plates, but not necessarily the big bold turquoise dinner plate, so we invented our own place setting--I think its going to sweep the nation soon.  And here is the interesting part:  We originally went to Belk for the china and the everyday and the crystal because they had the biggest selection.  And then we went to Bed, Beth, and Beyond for the greatest selection of kitchen gadgetry.  And when we registered at BBB, the guy said he was going to pull my Belk items and also list them at BBB so that people can see everything in both places.  Nice, right?  Well at then end of the day, he printed out our final registry, and it turns out that my china--my Vera Wang china--that the lady said is never on sale at Belk, is literally HALF-PRICE at BBB.  Crazy???  So, yes, this is amazing.  I am getting my fancy gravy boat for sure now!!
