Life Lesson: Baking
Another life lessoned learned: When baking cookies, do not run out of flour. If the recipe calls for a cup of flour, it really means "I need exactly ONE cup of flour." Do not naively assume you can use 1/4 of cup of flour instead, just because you ran out. Also, do not attempt to substitute flour for another floury substance like...Oh, I don't know...Pancake mix. It just doesn't work folks.

Seriously. It feels so right at the time. I mean, I measured it in my hand just like Rachel Ray from food network. Where did it all go terribly wrong?
Thanks, Mel. As the time approaches when my teaching contact will expire and I will be very much unemployed, I think thats just want I will do: create my own cooking show. Food Network doesn't know what they are missing. Soon they will have to rename it "Marie Network"
i have failed as a mother!
